Autumn Blues
Autumnal geocaching
As I write this article it is now November; it's chilly outside and the ground is damp. By the time I finish work it's dark too. This tends to leave weekends for outdoor caching activities but free weekends are a rarity this time of year with Christmas dos, a round of family birthdays, and then when you get a free weekend the weather turns nasty.
Muggins me, I've been hoodwinked into giving my son a lift to his place of work on a Saturday morning, which gives me an ideal excuse to wander slightly further for a few hours to pick up some caches.
I have been working on a number of mystery, letterbox and regular caches based around Mapledurham in South Oxfordshire (just north of the Thames near Reading). The walking there is great and the autumnal colours are stunning when the sun is out.
Make the most of it... winter is coming.
And, by the way, two more Geekdoms have been been released. I'm happy to offer hints to those that have shown they've made a decent attempt at solving it. Good luck.
