A short weekend break geocaching in Gibraltar

With few overseas destinations available to visit without worrying about quarantining at the destination or upon return, I spotted that Gibraltar, a UK territory, was on the exempt list meaning a short weekend break was possible.

A three-hour flight from Heathrow and soon I was in southern Europe's warm September sunshine with views over the Med to Africa. There are quite a few geocaches on the peninsular including Virtuals, Multis (and a very long distance multi), EarthCaches, Adventure Labs and Mystery Caches.

I didn't step foot in Spain (I'd have had to quarantine on return) but the photo shows the frontier.

One of my favourite caches was on top of the Rock with views across Gibraltar. You just have to make sure that the maquette apes don't steal your swag.

I made a video of the trip which you can watch at here.
